Team Turbo Safari - Observatory Sundowner
Come to the Observatory for a unique Sundowner with telescope viewing and help Team Turbo Safari raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The evening starts with a welcome drink and canapes on arrival with a chance to browse the Observatory Museum. After a short presentation about the Outback Air Race join a special guided tour of the two historical domes at the Observatory, the Astrograph Dome and The Lowell Dome.
There is even a chance to observe the planet Venus at Sunset.
As dusk falls three of the Observatories telescopes will be available for viewing of deep space objects followed by a light supper and drinks. The telescopes will continue to be available for more viewing of deep space objects during and after the supper.
The evening finishes with another opportunity to browse the museum or to purchase gifts in the Astro shop.
Two great night, Wednesday 7th February and Thursday 15 February....... $60 per person, all proceeds to Royal Flying Doctor Service.........

5:45—6:15pm Arrive at Perth Observatory
6:15pm Evening Commences
6:30pm Guided tour historical domes at sunset
7:30pm Evening night sky viewing* of stars and deep space objects through multiple telescopes commences
8:00pm Light Supper served, night sky viewing* continues
9:30pm Night sky viewing* concludes
9:30—10:00pm Last chance to view museum
*If weather prevents the use of telescopes an alternative programme will be offered.
