Less than 6 months to go-time is flying for the 100 participants of The Lottery Office Outback Air Race and before you know it, we will be zooming across the skies.

This is an adventure of a lifetime for most of our participants but the real purpose of The Lottery Office Outback Air Race is to raise over $600,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The RFDS provides vital health care and emergency medical aid and transportation for rural and regional areas of Australia.  They hold health clinics in the outback areas of Australia, bringing health initiatives to the towns that don’t have the medical resources required.

The Lottery Office Outback Air Race starts from Darwin on the 29th of August travelling to Cooinda, Adels Grove, Karumba, Undara, Shute Harbour, Gladstone, Roma, Goondiwindi and finishing in Coffs Harbour.  Over 40 light aircraft will be making the journey coming from all over Australia to participate in this time trial event held every 3 years.
